Bobby G. Smith, 84, of Jeffrey, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022 at his daughters home surrounded by loving family.
He was born November 3, 1937 at Morrisvale, WV, a son of the late James and Flossie Hatfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Nellie Smith; three brothers and three sisters; granddaughter, grandson, and a great grandson.
He attended the Monclo Freewill Baptist Church. He also visited the Lighthouse Community Church of Kopperston. He loved going to church, family cookouts, and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include four sons, Bobby Lee (Jean) Smith of Latrobe, Carl (Teresa) Smith of Cyclone, Kenny Tabor of Mill Creek, and Rick (Pam) Smith of Cyclone; two daughters, Karen (Joe) Craddock of Camp Creek and Ruby Williams of KY; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two great grandchildren on the way; and a sister, Lora Jean Woodrum of Madison.
Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, February 6 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Rev. Garry Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Morrisvale, WV.
Visitation will be from Noon until service time at the funeral home.
