Betty Jane Saunders

Betty Jane Saunders, 101, of Hamlin passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Emma Jean Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. She was born January 21, 1925, a daughter of Clyde and Pearl Ulbrich Hopkins. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Saunders Sr.; her son Freddie Saunders Jr.; her daughter Patricia Saunders, and four siblings. She was a lifelong member of Hamlin Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her children Richard (Nita) Saunders of Barboursville, Sharon Price of Woodville, Marian (Joe) Jarrell of Ft. Myers, FL, Mike (Georgia) Saunders of Palm Coast, FL, Gary (Teresa) Saunders of Hamlin, and Susan (Greg) Brewer of Ft. Myers, FL; 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life on 3:00 pm Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Hamlin Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Huntington or the Emma Jean Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington.
