Betty Joan Cline

Betty Joan Cline, 68, of Racine passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.

Betty Jo was born November 1, 1944, in Mingo County, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Eltis “Buck” and Sinda Miller formerly of Gilbert, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Benny Douglas Miller ; and nephew Walter Land, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Joe Cline; son, Robert Eltis “Robby” Cline; and her grandson Robert Joseph “RJ” Cline of Racine, WV. Also surviving are her sisters, brother and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cline taught public school for 39 years and retired as the Cooperative Education Director for the Boone County Career Center. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Education from Marshall University and dedicated her life to children. She enjoyed spending time with family and shopping with her sisters. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandson, RJ and spoiling her son, Robby.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 31 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV

Family and friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
