Bette Grubbs

Bette (Ireland) Grubbs, 98, passed away on January 28, 2025. 

She was previously a long-time teacher at Whitesville Elementary School. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Howard, her parents, and one sister. 

She is survived by her daughter Melanie Tabor (Tom) of Sylva, NC; her son George Grubbs (Marilyn) of Danville, WV; one brother; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. 

Per her wishes, her body was donated to Marshall University Medical School. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
