Benita Gaye Cook

Benita Gaye Cook, 64, of East Lynn, WV died February 23, 2023.

She was born March 4, 1958 in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Jess Willard and Ruby Kathlene Williams Carter.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Scott “Buddy” Cook; and son, John William-Scott Carter.

She is survived by daughters, Monika Cook, Thelma Cook and Corina Cook; brothers, George Carter, Jess Carter and James Carter; sisters, Patricia Maynard and Sherry Workman; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.                                                                                                                                                                                               

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, March 2, 2023 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV.  The burial will be in the Parsons Cemetery, Branchland, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
