Angela Dawn Chapman-Huffman, 60, of Julian, WV departed this life on July 23, 2026 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV after a long illness.

She was born on October 29, 1965 to Emery and Ruth Chapman and was the youngest of five siblings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Matthew Chapman and great nephew, Zack Chapman.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Bruce Huffman; her daughter, Stacy White; grandson, Clay Brown; step daughter, Jody Huffman Stacy; step grandchildren, William Stacy and McKinsey Huffman and great step granddaughter, Raven, all of Julian, WV; her brothers, Michael Chapman of Big Ugly, Johnny Chapman of Big Ugly, and Dennis (Martha) Chapman of Low Gap; sister, Rebecca Surgoine of Big Ugly; her beloved little dog, Snoopy; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Angie was raised on Big Ugly in Lincoln County and graduated from Harts High School. After graduation she moved to Tennessee and spent many years there raising her daughter and working. Upon returning to WV, she was employed by Logan Bank & Trust and Premier Bank. Once retired, she and her husband Bruce had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and parts of Canada. They enjoyed visiting the National parks and attending special events, making wonderful memories together.

Her kindness and caring spirit made her a very special person. If you were her friend and she loved you, she always made sure you knew it. She never hesitated to tell someone she loved them and always looked for ways to uplift others, whether it be a card, gift or a big hug. Her kindness, smile and laughter, generosity and love will continue to live on in every life she touched.

Her wishes were cremation with a graveside service at the Chapman family cemetery on Big Ugly, which will be held at a later date.

Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV is assisting the family.
