Alvin Guy Weaver, 69, of Madison WV passed away December 20, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, WV.
He was a retired salesman, member of O’Dell Lodge #ll5, Scottish Rite, York Rite, and Beni Kedem Temple. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of Danville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd Guy and Freda Weaver; his sister, Helen Marie Williams; a brother, James Edward Weaver; and daughter, Barbara Ann Weaver.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Phyllis Weaver; son and daughter-in-law, John and Holly Weaver; and son, Kenneth Weaver; three grandchildren, Baylee Anne, Ethan Lee and Cole Alexander Weaver; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Sharon Weaver; sister and brother-in-law Marlene and Bill Woods; sister-in-law, Betty Dolin; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, December 22nd. at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Richard Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison with military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post #5578 of Madison, WV and Masonic graveside rites performed by O’Dell Lodge #115 Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
