Victor Vickers, 68, of Alkol passed away Monday, February 11, 2019.
He was born July 29, 1950 to the late Clarence D. and Lorainne Roberts Vickers. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sharon Vickers; brothers, Clarence Dewayne Vickers, Roger Vickers and Ronald Vickers; and sisters, Yvonne Dotson and Denna Adkins.
He was a coal miner and attended Olive Baptist Church at Julian.
He is survived by his son, Victor Joe Vickers (Treasa) of Alkol; daughter, Linda K. Vickers (Matthew Tooth) of Alkol; step-daughters, Crystal Vickers (Tommy) of Alkol and Lynn McCallister of Alkol; step-son, Chad Kuhn of Jeffrey; grandchildren, Victoria Riggs (Todd);Kayla Vickers and Stephanie Vickers; step grandchildren, Kelsie Tomblin (Colt), Roger McCallister, Jr. and Keaton Vickers. He is also survived by brother, Lawrence E. Vickers of Alkol; and sister, Linda Lambert (Arnold) of Quinland.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Brandon McClure and Jimmy Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Stone Vickers Cemetery, Alkol, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Victor’s honor.
