Rose Mary Shirkey Miller

Rose Mary Shirkey Miller, 104, of Madison passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 after a long illness at Hospice Care in South Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Miller; her son Frankie Miller; two grandchildren Rodney Roberts and Kara Horton; mother and father John and Stella Shirkey; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter and caretaker, Karen Roberts; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, Justin Horton and Jaren Horton; and seven great-great grandchildren.
She was born December 28, 1916 in Raleigh County. She was well known and loved by a lot of people. She was a 65 year member of the Madison Baptist Church and worked in the kitchen for many years. She was the oldest living graduate of Sharples High School when she passed.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Boone Memorial Park, Madison with the Rev. Jim Butcher officiating.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, CDC guidelines will be observed, with mask and social distancing.
