Nelson Harry Buckner, 69, of Low Gap, WV passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at CAMC Memorial hospital due to surgery complications.
He was born December 16, 1948, a son of the late Sherman Buckner and Brookie Perry. He was also preceded in death by brothers Norwood and Namen, as well as sisters Nellie and Naomi.
He is survived by his wife, Rosetta; brothers Norris Buckner (Deanna), Ned Buckner (Gaye), Norman Buckner, and Norvell Buckner; sisters Nan Jarrell, Nina Smith, Nancy Faught (Gordon), and Norma Jean Bentley; son, Nelson M. Buckner; daughters, Charlotte Parsons (Phil) and Cindy Linville (Ron); grandchildren, Cassandra Kimbler (Jeremy), Cameron Parsons (Kasey), Caleb and Jacob Linville, Bethany and Ethan Buckner; great grandchildren Laila and Wade Kimbler.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 26 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Wayne Runyan officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
