Macie E. Woodie-Jarrell
February 15, 1927 — May 7, 2014
Macie E. Woodie-Jarrell, 87, died May 7, 2014, at Boone Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer and is now with her Lord and Savior.
Macie was born February 15, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Brady and Katherine Tilley and was a devoted member of the Bim Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Jarrell; her loving daughter, Linda (Bill) Persinger; and sons Larry (Nada) Woodie and Jerry (Sherry) Woodie; stepchildren Dennis (Becky) Jarrell and Ellis Jarrell; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a host of family members she loved very much and all her sisters and brothers in Christ.
In addition to her parents, Macie was preceded in death by her late husband, Gilbert “Buck” Woodie and fourteen brothers and sisters.
Services will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 1:00 PM at the Bim Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Boone Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior at the church.
The family would like to thank Dignity Hospice and Boone Memorial Hospital for all their loving care, kindness, support and many prayers for the family.
