Kathleen Sue Looney, 70, of Gordon, WV went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 3, 2017.
She was born at home in Bandytown, WV on Monday, August 25, 1947 to the late Robert Hurl White and Elsie Brown White.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Looney; sisters, Betty Boggs, Mary (Leon) Halstead, Ina Grace (Eugene) Hunter, Carolyn White and Wanda White; brothers, Gary White, Leslie (Sheila) White, Robert (Vinnie) White and Tex Richard (Lana) White; and grandson, Justin Warner.
She is survived by daughters, Stephanie (Scott) Toler and Jennifer (Kerry) Bias; grandson, Corey Bias; granddaughters, Emma Toler and Cammille Bias; and great granddaughter, Scarlett Bias all of Gordon, sisters, Ethel Coleman, Diane Hager and Lorene (Donnie) Hicks and brother, Chester White along with many nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted Christian and was always willing to share her joy with others. She spent much time studying and discussing the Bible with others. She had a charitable heart and gave freely from it. Everyone who entered her home was made welcome and left with a smile and the word of God.
The family would like to thank the Hospice and Lighthouse staff for their assistance during Mom’s final days. A note of gratitude must also be expressed to all of the visitors that she so enjoyed.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September, 7, 2017 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Rev. Steve Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Mid Ferrell Cemetery, Twilight, WV. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
