Josie Clara Triplett

Josie Clara Triplett, also known as Sissy Burns to many, 78, of Branchland, WV was called to her heavenly home on August 4, 2020. She was born August 28, 1941 to the late Henry and Okle Burns of East Lynn, WV. She is also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Baby Gladys, Tommy, Earl, Jimmy, Buddy, Eulah, and Susie.
She is survived by her children, Dale “Toad” McDonald and Kathy Horn, both of Branchland. Her grandchildren, Katrina (Tank) Tabor of Branchland, Robert (Amber) McDonald of Portsmouth, William (Chandra) McDonald of Branchland, and David (Kaitlyn) Horn of Ottawa. Great grandchildren, Betty Clare Brooks, Robert Xavier McDonald , and William Parker McDonald.
She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends that she loved dearly.
Services will be held at the McGee Handley funeral home in West Hamlin, West Virginia.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Friday August 7, 2020 at the Burns family cemetery on Burns Branch Road in East Lynn, West Virginia. A visitation will be from 12:30pm to 1:30pm Friday at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, CDC guidelines will be observed, with mask and social distancing encouraged.
