Jimmie Eugene Baisden, 90, of Hudson, Florida passed peacefully in his home on May 22, 2021 at 9:40 p.m. with his son Randy and daughter Sandy by his side.
He was born in Boone County, WV on October 11, 1930, son of Gardner and Eva Ellis Baisden.
He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps with rank of Corporal and served stateside during the Korean War from January 21, 1952 to January 23, 1954. He received the National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by two sisters, Janet Albright and Patsy Greene; brother, Freddie Baisden; two sons, Randy and Ronnie; and daughter, Sandy.
A Celebration of his life will take place 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV with military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, WV.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are optional.
