Jackie Lee May, 79, of Joe’s Creek, WV went to his Heavenly home on September 27, 2021.
He was a retired coal miner from Big Mountain Coal at Prenter, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Roy May; his loving wife Laura May; siblings Audrey Cooper, Alberta May, Leon May, Helen Lacy and Dennis May.
He was a loving father of two sons, Jackie L. May Jr. (Connie) of Danville and Gary D. May (Susan) of Bloomingrose. He was a loving grandfather of seven grandchildren, Corey May (Christina), Eric May (Shelby), Brittany Booth (Josh), Tori Kellione (Grant), Nikki Sampson (Josh), Holli Peterson (Seth) and Kendra Pannell; and great grandfather of four boys, Azle, J.O., Nix and Zack and seven girls, Remi, Zayla, Ava, Chelsea, Sieanna, Aria and Helen; surviving sisters, Doris, Pearl, Janice, Ilene, Darlene and Bonnie; surviving brothers, Ernest "Tubby" and Eddie.
Services will be held at Handley Funeral Home in Danville at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 with David May officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
