August 30, 1925 — September 27, 2019
On September 27, 2019, our precious loved one, Hester Hall, 94, of Barrett, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
She was a Godly woman, devoted to her Christian faith and her family. She was a member of the Wharton Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt to her family. She was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
Hester was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Celia Davis; her loving husband of 55 years James “Bubby” Hall; son Bobby James Hall; daughter Celia Jane Adkins; grandson Robert (Robbie) Earchil Adams; granddaughters Christy Lynn Adams and Lisa Hall; two great-grandsons Jordan and Nicholas; sisters; Fairy Cantrell, Glesson Kinney, and Eilene Rowe; and brothers, Marsum (Polk) Davis, Sanal Davis and Andrew Davis.
Hester is survived by her sons, Ronal Hall (Nancy) of Van, WV and Concord, NC, Tony Hall (Janetta) of Morganton, NC; daughters, Joyce Jarvis (Bobby) of Beckley, WV and Sandra Sue Adams (Butch) of Wharton, WV; great niece Donna Kinney of Barrett, WV; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2019, Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Rev. Darrell Searls officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time.
The family would like to express their gratitude for all the love shown to them during the loss of their loved one. The prayers, calls, cards, food and visits are deeply appreciated. They would also like to thank Rev. Searls, his wife, and Kanawha Hospice for the love and concern shown during this difficult time.
Hester will be dearly missed by her family and friends in the days to come, but they take comfort in the knowledge that their loss is Heaven’s gain!
