Esther Ruth Cowley 71 of Moneta, VA formerly of Boone County, WV passed away August 30, 2020 at home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Ivan Ray and Mary Turner White and siblings; Joyce White Mitchem and Doris Workman. She was a retired clerk for the Boone County Clerk.
She was a member of Easter Star, Moose Lodge and Paternal Order of Eagles.
She is survived by her husband; John Cowley, sons; J. D. (Pajette) Sigmon of Uneeda,WV and Eric (Stephanie) Sigmon of Chapmanville, WV, brother; Jack Ray (Carol) White of Micanopy, Fl, sisters; Carol Sue (Mac) McCrary, Ridgefield, Washington, Connie (Pat) Dent, Rebecca (Bob) Heater of Madison, WV, grandchildren; Trey Sigmon, Megan Sigmon, Jada Sigmon, Erica Sigmon and Peyton Sigmon, great grandchildren; Brinlee Sigmon and Ella, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She loved being with family and grandkids, beach, camping, reading and shopping.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at Memory Gardens, Madison, WV with Steve Burns officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations to Carilion Clinic Hospice, 1615 Franklin Rd SW Roanoke, VA 24016.
