Ernie Wayne Workman

Ernie “Wayne” Workman Jr., 54, of Van, WV departed this life on October 26, 2018 after a long illness.
Wayne was born in Madison, WV on November 20, 1963 to Virginia Palmer of Van and the late Ernie Workman Sr. Wayne was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arvil and Oma (Gayhart) Workman; Maternal grandparents, John Henry Gladys (Pridemore) Palmer; and his uncle, Arvil “Bobby” Workman Jr.
Wayne was a proud popaw to his pride and joy, Aiden Collins. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, growing a garden, and mowing grass on his riding lawn mower.
Left to cherish his memory are: sisters, Debbie (Johnny) Adkins of Van, and Linda Warner of Twilight; nieces and nephews, Wallie Workman of Twilight, Cassey (Joey) Bias of Robinson, John Workman of Van, Jennifer Warner of Twilight, and Stacey (TJ) Green of Bandytown; several great nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored; cousins, Robin Tyler, and Patricia Pridemore; his best friend Steve Workman; companion, Dovena Owens of War; and two children Brandon Collins and Tabitha Collins, who he considered his own.
There will be no viewing. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, Novemeber 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Bigson FWB Church.
