Dorothy "Bood" McComas

Dorothy “Bood” McComas 89, of Branchland, WV passed away at home Friday April 6, 2018. She was born January 21, 1929 a daughter of the late Delbert and Carrie Clay Beckelheimer.
She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Russell McComas, and a daughter-in-law Reda McComas.
She is survived by her children; R.J. McComas of Branchland, Doug (Diana) McComas of Madison, Susie (Paul) Fields of Branchland, Tommy (Cathy) McComas of West Hamlin, Sheila (Greg) Sergent of Culloden, and Jeanie Elkins (Bella) of Branchland; one brother Don (Mary) Beckelheimer; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special care givers, daughter Jeanie Elkins, granddaughter Lori Chafin, and best friend and care giver “working” Jeanie.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2018 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with her grandsons Luke McComas and Jamie Elkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Watson Cemetery Branchland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
