Deloris Hoke

Deloris Hoke, 75 of Branchland, WV passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 8, 2020. She was born October 4, 1944 in West Hamlin, WV to the late Walter and Rosa Parsons. She was the wife of the late Jay H. Hoke, who was the love of her life. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Naomi Gue and Hazel Sanders and her brothers Carmie Parsons and Bo Parsons.
She left behind a sister Sharon (Herbert) Lucas and two brothers Hartsel Parsons and Ercil (Doris) Parsons all of Branchland. She also leaves behind a son Jay Michael (Jan) Hoke and three granddaughters, Sarah Hoke, Marycait Hoke and Molly Hoke and a host of nieces and nephews.
She worked as a CNA and Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation for 29 years where she put her heart and soul into helping others. She was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends whole heartedly, but above all she loved and devoted her heart to the Lord.
Funeral service will be 11AM Saturday September 12, 2020 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home West Hamlin, WV with Greg Dial officiating. Burial will follow at Brady-Cummings Cemetery Brady, WV. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
