Delores Louise Ixos, 97, of Peytona, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 30, 2021.
She was born January 11, 1924 in Dobra, WV, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mae Schultz. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Ixos; brothers Jack Schultz and Billy Joe Schultz; sisters Pauline Martin and Marie Bard; and grandson James Joseph II.
She is survived by her son, James Joseph (Wendy) Ixos of Orlando, WV; daughter, Georgianna (Aaron) Holstein of Peytona, WV; granddaughter, Wendy Jo Dlesk of Blairsville, PA; grandsons, Joshua David (Amanda) Cregger of Foster, WV and Matthew James (Megan) Cregger of Spurlockville, WV; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who care much for her family and friends. She was a devoted Christian for most of her life and was a prayer warrior. She loved cooking, singing, working puzzles, and drawing birds.
Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Barry Mynes Jr. and Edsel Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Visitation 10 a.m. until service time.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, CDC guidelines will be observed, with mask and social distancing encouraged.
