Carol Sue Purcell, 76, of Harts passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020.
She was born February 25, 1945 in Powellton, WV, daughter of the late Guy Holstein and Mayme Holstein-Kerns. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by husbands, Clyde Fowler and Allen Norris Purcell; and brothers Melvin Holstein and Denzil Holstein.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and with her pets.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Ann Blough, Lorrice Bell (Michael) and stepdaughters, Angela Walker and Charlotte Purcell Lautzenhiser; stepson, Dale Purcell; brother, Robert Holstein, sisters, Hazel Tyler-Kirtley, Mida Workman (Dean) and Vada Frailey (Ed); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friends, Slade Sowers (Candaice), Marlene Vannatter, and Vicky Hill (David).
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 5 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Garry Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery, Julian.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
