Brittie Lucian Miller, 90, of Foster, WV went home to Paradise on July 2, 2013.
She was born on November 25, 1922 to Jesse and Oda Halstead who preceded her in death. Brittie was also preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey L. Miller; seven brothers and sisters; beloved son-in-law, Perry S. Cabell of Foster and great-grandson, Stephen Ray Duffy.
Brittie is survived by her four children, Kenneth A Miller (Betty) of Richmond, VA, Carol A. Hager (Glenn) of Yuma, AZ, Catherine J. Cabell of Foster, WV and and Mark S. Miller (Tracy) of Urbana, OH. She has seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a younger brother, Clarence "Buster" Halstead of Foster.
She was a member of the Rock Creek Church of Christ who served as an inspiration to her fellow brothers and sisters. Her pride and joy was watching her children grow up and become useful members of the public. Brittie was a retired LPN, who enjoyed beautiful flowers, quilting and cooking.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with David Cabell and Kevin Trivett officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
