Brenda Kay Wheatley “Dooke”, 65, of Lick Creek in Danville, WV passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.
She was born June 8, 1952 in Madison, WV and was a daughter of the late Clinton and Hester Jarrell Boehm. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dickie” Wheatley.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Wheatley of Danville and Angela (Ricky) Stollings of Danville; brothers, Phillip (Linda) Boehm of Madison, Ray (Maggie) Boehm, Bobby (Vickie) Boehm of Beckley and Freddie Boehm of Madison; sisters, Nellie (Glen) Adkins of Chapmanville and Margeret (Roosevelt) Jeffrey of Lake; one grandchild, Allen Stollings of Danville; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved.
Service will be 11 a.m. Sunday, November 26 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Jessie Perdue and Mark Wheatley officiating. Burial will follow in Wheatley Cemetery, Chapmanville. Pall bearers will be James Adkins, Matt Carter, Timmy White, Allen Stollings, Kevin Boehm and Freddie Boehm.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
