Brandon Paul "Wick" Elswick

August 16, 1988 — December 30, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Beautiful son Brandon Paul "Wick" Elswick.
Brandon passed away on December 30 2021.

Brandon was predeceased by his Father Russell R Elswick of Murfreesboro TN; and his Great Grandfather Bethel "Choke" Cook of Robinson WV.

He is survived by his loving fiance Rebecca Smith of Danville WV whom he cherished, along with his momma Marsha Hager Riffe of Winston Salem NC and his Dad Jamie Riffe of Danville WV.
Paternal Grandparents: Jack & Dreama Cook Miller and The Greatest Great Grandmother Novellis Cook
Maternal Grandparents: Brenda Walker Farris and late husband Bobby Farris. Everett Hager & wife Jeanette. He has two brothers, Joshua Jeffrey and wife Kelly,of Van WV and Draven Riffe of Charleston WV; and one sister Erin Beth Craft and husband Cameron of Wharton WV.

Brandon was a 2006 graduate of his beloved Van High School and went on to study Business at MTSU and then later HVAC instruction at BFVC. He was a longtime surveyor for P&A engineering and had recently started his own contractor business. Brandon was an avid hunter and fisherman who ALWAYS out-fished his cousins Christopher White and Brandon Mitchell.

Brandon was a prayer warrior for all those he loved. He would immediately stop what he was doing to pray for anyone in need. He was the best Fur Daddy to his trusty companion Keef, who will truly grieve for his Daddy.

Brandon had a heart that was bigger than life along with a smile to match. There was also no subject in which he was not knowledgeable. He was always willing to help a friend in need be it a ride or a bit of sarcastic humor if you were feeling down. Brandon was super proud of his Popaw Jacks military veterans program, his little brother Dravens football and musical skills and his niece Scarlett who stole his heart the minute she came into this world.

Brandon NEVER failed to say and show that he loved those whom he did. He wanted to save the world but just couldn't save himself. He is at peace now with his Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Samuel 12:23.
