Blemia M. Bennett, 81, of Navarre, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover, OH.
Blemia was born on November 23, 1939 in Manila, WV and was a daughter of the late Roy and Mellie (Cooper) Baisden. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Roy Linford and Douglas Baisden; sisters Martha Walker-Baisden and Amerie Thompson; and her former husband Emmerson Bennett.
She was a graduate of Scott High School in Madison, WV. Blemia retired from Nickles Bakery where she worked for over 30 years. She loved travelling with her brother, music, bowling, ice cream and her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Shelia Lubansky of Fairfield, OH, Joan Bennett of New Philadelphia, OH, Susan Cline of Navarre, OH, and John (Penny) Bennett of Lanett, AL; her six grandchildren, Ron Cihon, Kyle and Alex Cline, Melissa (Michael) Collins, Tom (Dena) Levengood, and John (Courtney) Levengood; nine great-grandchildren; her brother Althea (Loretta) Baisden of Greenview, WV; sister Renee Ball of Danville, WV; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, caregivers and friends.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 4pm-6pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon and one hour prior to a funeral service at 2pm on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home, 439 Phipps Ave Danville, WV 25053.
