Betty L. Keffer, 89, of Drawdy, WV passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 5, 2019 surrounded by her family at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
Betty was born February 3, 1930 to the late Henry and Verna Ball Atkins.
She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Drawdy Church of Christ. Betty was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. All of her family LOVED her white cake.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Elmer Keffer; brothers, Charles, Billy and Jimmy; sisters, Bethalene Mahone, Dema Atkins, and Jean Madlyn Atkins.
Those left to cherish her memories are daughters, Dianna Marcum, Linda (Grafton) Buzzard, and Sandy (Babe) Halstead; one son, Elmer (Kathie) Keffer Jr.; grandchildren, Robert (Robin) Ray, Larry (Priscilla) Woodrum, Dena (Brian) Wall, Amy (Kevin) Cooper, Tiffany (Gene) Justice, Daniel (Carrie) Buzzard, and Megan (Chase) Tarpy; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also had many extended family members and friends who loved her and will miss her very much.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 9 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with John Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Harless Cemetery, Drawdy.
Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
