Beatrice Doreen Workman, 93 of Uneeda, WV passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at her home.
She was born in Logan County, WV on November 30, 1928 to her parents, Mattie Katherine (Conley) Bradley and William Orville Bradley, SR.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her stepfather, James Noel Gilliam, her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and David Crawford, her sons, Larry Goodwin, Eddie Goodwin and Chester Goodwin, Jr. (Buddy), her granddaughter, Dreama Manns, her friend and companion, Robert Burdette and the father of her children, Chester Goodwin, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children; James (Karen) Goodwin of Chesapeake, WV, John (Robin) Goodwin of Chesapeake, WV, Jerry Goodwin of Uneeda, WV, Deborah Mullins of Madison, WV, and Tina Goodwin of Chapmanville, WV. Her grandchildren; Frankie (Kerri) Goodwin of Belle, WV, James Goodwin, Jr. (Hannah) of Lorado, WV, Tammie (Bill) Stevens of Charleston WV, Winfred Goodwin of Prenter, WV, Angela Goodwin of Chesapeake, WV, Darren McCord of Louisiana, Robbie McDaniel of Chesapeake, WV, Tiffany Goodwin of Chesapeake, WV, Tonyna (Duane) Ratcliff of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Carl Goodwin of Dayton, Ohio, Jerry Goodwin, Jr (Melissa) of Chesapeake, Ohio, Cindy Gaskin of Ashland, KY, Jeana White of Winfield, WV, Christopher Goodwin of Uneeda, WV, Cynthia Goodwin of Charleston, WV, Kristina Mowell of Bloomingrose, WV, Stephen Frymyer of Peytona, WV, Paul (Nichole) Jones of Lancaster, KY, Tommy (Amanda) Jones of Alum Creek WV, and Donnie (Danielle) Hunt of Turtle Creek WV.
She was blessed with 47 great grandchildren and 9 great-great Grandchildren.
We would also like to mention her beloved cats; Mia, Mylie, and Stripy, whom she adored as well.
She also had many friends and neighbors who love her and will miss her greatly.
Beatrice loved gardening, taking care of her flowers, she enjoyed watching the Olympics and game shows on TV, especially Jeopardy. However, her greatest enjoyment was being a loving Mother and Grandmother. She loved to cook, and nothing made her happier than preparing and cooking meals for her family.
She attended Man High School and worked at Lorado Drug Store as a teen-ager, she also worked as a waitress in Cleveland, Ohio, a cook at Scott High School, and a housekeeper for Doug and Betsy White for many years. They loved her very much and considered her family.
She studied her Bible and attended religious meetings where she was able and loved Jehovah God and his son, Jesus Christ. Most importantly, she held to her Christian values in the way she lived her life.
The family would like to thank, Dr. Ron Stollings and the staff at Madison Medical, along with the staff at Boone Memorial Hospital for their care and concern during the difficult time before her passing. In addition, the family would like to thank all those who have left a kind word, cards, flowers, food etc. Your kindness is much appreciated.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday February 12, 2022, Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Pastor Rick Swearengin officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Gardens, Low Gap, Madison, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
