Allen Norris Purcell, 82, of Big Ugly Creek, Harts, WV passed away January 22, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Fran Campbell; son, Bob Kelly; a baby daughter; and friend Bob Adkins.
He was retired from General Motors and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Lori Bell (Mike), Charlotte Lautzenheiser (Clay) and Angie Walker (Jim); son Dale Purcell (Melissa); stepdaughter, Melissa Blough; granddaughter, Gwendolyn “Boo Boo” Sowers plus numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and adopted grandchildren; and special friend Slade Sowers.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 25 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Garry Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery, Julian.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
