Thelma Willis Epling

Thelma Willis Chambers Epling, 69, of Foster was born in Logan County on March 4, 1944 and passed away October 21, 2013 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

She was a daughter of the late Harry and Geraldine Lowe Chambers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Epling; sister, Betty Delong; brother, Harry “Bud” Chambers; and granddaughter, Amber Brinegar.

She was a 1962 graduate of Logan High School and a graduate of Leesburg Beauty School. She was a Girl Scout leader for eight years and a president of the Cancer Society. She worked at Leesburg Beauty Shop, was a teacher in Center Hill Florida, worked for the Logan Banner and the Guyandotte Voice and was an Activities Director at the Boone County Nursing Home from where she retired.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Donna Lou Curry, Dorothy Young, Alice Price, Cora (Gary) Tooley and Gerri (Gary) Ball; and her loving brother, Grover (Bernice) Chambers.

She is also survived by three daughters: daughter, Rebekah Lynn (Alan) King, grandchildren, Christopher Alan King, Matthew Russell King and Rachael Dianne King and great-grandchild, Alyvia Grace King; daughter, Pamela Kyle (Walter)Brinegar, grandchildren, Ashlee Nicole Bryant, Jarrad Dewayne (Susan) Bryant, great-grandchildren, Seth Austin Copeland, Alexis JoLeigh Copeland, McKenzee Hayven Elizabeth Bryant and Amber Jade Bryant; and daughter, Tanya Nicole Moulton (Stacy Smith); special nephew, Harry (Debbie) Chambers and their daughter Sarah Chambers; a multitude of nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Keith McClung officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
