Teddy Ray White, 65, of Bald Knob WV passed away at home, peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on March 6, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He was the grandson and adopted son of the late Milton and Bessie White of Bald Knob.
He was a Vietnam veteran and retiree of Eastern Associated Coal where he worked for over 37 years and a member of the UMWA. His greatest achievement in life was the love he gave his two children.
He was preceded in death by his adopted parents Milton and Bessie; his mother Carleen “Genevieve” White of Madison; his father Donnie White of Bald Knob; brothers, Bob White, Charlie White and Beecher White; his loved mother-in-law Helen Cook and father-in-law Bethel Cook of Bald Knob; his adopted sister Charlene Price and her husband Curtis and son Curtis Wayne Price; and his brother-in-law Russell King of Bloomingrose, WV.
He is survived by his beautiful daughter Rhonda White Green of Gordon, WV; his proud son Dustin White of Charleston, WV; grandson Patrick Green of Charleston; his beloved dog O.B.; along with sisters, Dorita and Elvonna; brother, Steve; and many other family and friends who loved him very much.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 Bald Knob United Methodist Church with Alvin Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Hatfield Cemetery, Wharton with military graveside rites by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements are by the Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV.
