Sherrill Norris Spurlock

Sherrill Norris Spurlock, 75, of Madison passed away January 30, 2016 at home.
He was born August 25, 1940 and was a son of the late Bruce and Elvetta Bias Spurlock. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Phyllis Spurlock; and brothers, Darrell, Denver and Denzil Spurlock.
He was a retired coal miner and carpenter. He was a United States Army veteran.
He is survived by his sons, Greg (Carol) Spurlock of Morrisvale, Woody (Debbie) Spurlock of Danville and Kevin Spurlock of Madison; brothers, Eugene (Joyce), Harold (Linda), Lanny, Wayne (Sue), Gilbert (Ruth), Jerry (Ruby), Jackie, Ricky (Tami); sisters, Esta Miller, Nadine (Leon) Hunter, Linda Clay, Juanita (Harrison) Brown and Brenda (Ray) Cook; grandchildren, Natasha (Ben), Blake (Danielle), Jesse and Forrest; great-grandchildren, Riley, Breven and Ashlyn.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Eugene Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville with military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
