Sanford Garrett, 82, of Danville passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at home.
He was born June 7, 1932 and was a son of the late Ernest and Ethel Light Garrett. He was also preceded in death by his wife Nora Garrett; and grandson, Jamie.
He is survived by his children, Sandra and Earl Justice of Mobile, Alabama, Deborah and Randy Cryer of Holly Pond, Alabama, Denise and Tim Wright of Union Grove, Alabama, Ed and Carol Ramey of Danville, WV, Lisa and Dennis Roberts of Danville, WV and Steve and Lisa Garrett of Forsyth, Georgia; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Marie Whistenant.
Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home, Norcross, GA with burial to follow at H. G. Wright Cemetery in Norcross.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
