Sadie Irene Connor, 102, of Madison passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.
She was born July 21, 1911 in Madison, WV and was a daughter of the late Henry Ward Beecher and Fairy B. Harless Mullins. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lowell Connor; three brothers; and one sister.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Madison United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and other Civic organizations.
She is survived by her son, Lowell A. Connor II (Janice) of Chesterfield, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer Harr (John) of Glen Allen, VA, Kimberly Cumming (David) of Austin, TX, Greg Whitlock (Nancy) of Newport, VA and Darren Whitlock (Dana) of East Palestine, OH; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Boone Memorial Park, Madison with Dr. Frank Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Sadie to Madison United Methodist Church, PO Box 216, Madison, WV 25130.
