Ruth Imogene Salmons Godby

Ruth Imogene Salmons Godby, 67, of Quincy in Belle WV formerly of Lincoln Co. WV passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston after a long illness.
Ruth was born on September 28, 1949, and was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Bessie Salmons; her son, David Wayne Aldridge; brothers, Paul, Bill, and Blaine Salmons; and sisters, Georgia Hager and Pauline Bishop.
Ruth is survived by her ex-husband, Bernard Godby; sister, Shirley Hager; son, Randy (Mary) Aldridge; daughter, Amanda (Dale) Johnson; stepchildren, Karen Godby, Danny Godby and Dewayne (Jeanna) Godby; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Pastor Paul Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Drawdy Cemetery, Peytona, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to service.
