Rev. John Henry Chandler, Jr.

Rev. John Henry Chandler, Jr. of Scott Depot formerly of Yawkey, WV passed away May 27, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House, South Charleston, WV.
He was a retired miner Eastern Peabody Coal, and a minister and a member of the UMWA.
He was the son of the late John Henry and Anna Chandler and was also preceded in death by sisters; Jeanette Chandler and Anna Mae Smith, great granddaughter; Gemma Posey and brother in law Billy Joe Pauley.
He is survived by siblings; Dimple Pauley of Massillion, OH, Stephen (Carolyn) Chandler of Navarre, OH, Danny Ray (Cindy) Chandler of Racine, WV and brother in law Roger Smith of Massillion, OH; children; Dawna (Robert) Chohon of Grand Island, NE, John (Nina) Chandler of Yawkey, WV and Denise (D.J.) Hill of Scott Depot, WV, ten grandchildren; Abi Vance, Jacob Vance, Will Vance, Madeleine Chohon, John (Allyson) Chandler, Charles "K.K" Chandler, Matthew Chandler, Haley and (Dakota) Fizer, Megan Hill, Amanda Hill and great granddaughter Isabella Fizer.
Special thanks to friends and family, to Dr. Jeffrey Addison, caregiver and friend Peggy Hill, special friends Brittany Ellis and Emily Bowman and Hubbard Hospice House West.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV with Keith Torman officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery, Julian, WV with military graveside service by American Legion Post 111, Hamlin, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
