Ray Leonard Midkiff

Ray Leonard Midkiff, 78 of Branchland, WV died October 2, 2013 at home.
He was a retired truck driver, heavy equipment operator and driver for Tri-River Transit Authority. He was born May 9, 1935 in Branchland, a son of the late Jennings “J.O.” Midkiff and Maxine Johnson Midkiff.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Paula(Ronald) Nelson and Jil (Bruce) Napier, brothers; Paul “Tiny” and John Midkiff, his stepsons; Mike, Charles, Dexter and Rick, grandchildren; Rebecca Cory (Mike) Shilot, and Tyler Ray Nelson, step grandchildren; Chris, John, Jessie, D.J. and Danielle and three great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013, at McGhee Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin,WV with Bobby Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Sloan Triplett Cemetery, Branchland.
