Ralph D. "Pete" Stowers

Ralph Dean “Pete” Stowers 77 of Danville, WV passed away on May 23, 2015 in the company of loved ones.
“Pete” was born December 28, 1937 to the late Soder and Esta Stowers. He worked for WV Department of Highways and Carbon Fuel as a drill operator. He enjoyed carpentry, hunting, fishing and trips to his cabin in Greenbrier County with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Jarrell and brothers, Bobby Stowers and Reed Stowers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gloria Pritchard Stowers; son, Kenny Stowers of Danville; daughter, Lisa (Stephen) Houchins of Madison, WV; sisters, Janice (Hansel) Miller of Danville, Carol (Jack) White of Beckley, WV, Sue(Gary) Spence of Florida; brothers, Cecil(Betty) Stowers of Danville, Duane (LaDonna) Stowers of Charleston, WV, and Dennis (Judy) Stowers of Danville; many nieces and nephew.
His spirit is carried on by his grandchildren, Andrew (Rebekah) Buckner of Danville, Eric (Melissa) Buckner of Rock Hill, SC, Cody (Heather) Buckner of Wharton, WV, Joshua (Samantha) Stowers of Nellis, WV, Lindsey Stowers, Cole Buckner and Randi Lynn Bucker of Danville; great grandchildren, Casen and Jacelyn Buckner. He was looking forward to the birth of Ryleigh Ann Stowers (due in June.
His memory will also be cherished by dear friends Doug and Wanda Smith, Norman Buckner, Randy and Sherry Buckner.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May, 26, 2015 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Pastor Douglas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
