Patsy Ruth Vanhoose

Patsy Ruth Ferrell Vanhoose, 79, of Sissonville passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2013 after a long illness.
She is survived by her son, Timmie Cook of Sissonville; sister Judy (Curtis) Dempsey of Montevallo, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvel and Ruby Ferrell; husband Billy Ray Vanhoose; sister Dolly Beard; brother Lee Jr. Ferrell; and son Terry Cook.
She was a faithful member of the Sissonville Church of Christ and an avid homemaker and gardener. She worked and operated the greenhouse “Nature’s Window,” owned by her son Timmie and John Long.
There will be a viewing at the Sissonville Church of Christ on Friday, September 27, from 6 to 8 pm. A brief graveside service at MidFerrell Cemetery in Bandytown, West Virginia will be held Saturday at 11 am with Minister Steve Poyet officiating.
