Lorraine Jeanette Ellis

September 6, 1941 — April 18, 2014

Lorraine Jeanette Ball Thompson Ellis, age 72, of Six Mile, WV and Zephyrhills, Florida went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2014 following a short illness.

She was born September 6, 1941 and was the daughter of the late VanBuren and Lucy Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Thompson (an infant) and Debra Thompson Fowler; two sisters, Emma Coburn and Nora Ball; and two brothers, Danny Ball and Jimmy Ball.

She is survived by her husband, Risty Ellis; daughter, Peggy and (Barry) Bias; son, Mike Thompson; sister, Laura Woolwine of Charleston; brothers, Johnny (Brenda) Ball of Greenview and Van Buren (Mary) Ball of Huntington. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Nathaniel (Lindsay) Bias of Lavalette, Levi Fowler of Camp Creek and Michael “Mikey” Adams of Danville; and a host of nieces and nephews. The memory of her smile will live in our hearts forever.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 25 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Roger McCauley and Harold Ray Ball officiating Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
