Leon Walker III 35 of Danville died August 12 at 12:41 p.m. after losing a battle with a medical condition.
He was born Sept 16, 1980 In Dalton, GA the son of Patty Fleming-Law and Lonnie Fleming. He attended Scott High School and graduated in 1999, worked as an iron worker for Rock and Coal Construction Beckley, WV.
Leon is survived by his parents; Patty and Larry of Parkersburg and Lonnie and Debbie Chapmanville, siblings; Lisa Walker-Hawkins (Charlie), Oliver Walker (Melissa) and Chris Walker (Becca), daughter; Josie Emerald Walker, a stepson; Asher Coal Akers and fiancé Cassie Jo Asburn; grandparents, Ruby Anderson and Lonnie Fleming, Jr., eight aunts and uncles, 11 nieces and nephews and many other family members. Leon meets in death Joey Anderson, Mary Anderson, Oliver Anderson, Emerald Fleming and Leon Walker, Jr. (maternal father).
Funeral service will be 2 pm Monday, Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV with Larry Law and Harley Egnor officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
