Joyce Jean White- Mitchem 81, of Beckley, WV previous of Boone Co. WV passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Mary White. Husband Verner Lee Mooney in 1960, and James Robert Pettry in 1997.
Joyce enjoyed hobbies such as dancing, karoke, gardening, yard sales, paying cards with her siblings, but most of all spending time with her grandkids family and friends.
She is survived by five children; two daughters Donna Ferrell of Beckley, WV, Sanrda (Ray) Huner of Madison, WV,three sons; Stevie (KC) Mooney of New Smyrna Beach Fl, Mark (Donna) Mooney of Clayton, NC, and James (Melanie-Chaplin)Pettry of Lynchburg, VA, Thirteen grandchildren; Tara (Kenny) Crawford of Beckley, WV, Gary (Dottie) Tobias of Beckley, WV, Amanda Ferrell of Beckley, WV, Steven Mooney, of Orlando, Fl, Megan and Fiance Rick McCoy of Debary, FL, Chris Mooney of Clayton, NC, and Kyle Mooney of Garner, NC, Angie Pettry and Fiance Mike Lugo of Liden,NJ, Shane (Meghan) Pettry of Lychburg, VA, Nick Pettry of Lynchburg, VA, Brandon (Nikki) Hunter of Eustis, Fl, Adam (Dana) Hunter of Paisley, Fl, and Samantha Hunter and Chris Greene of Madison, Wv, brother; Jack (Carol) White of Beckley, WV, Sue (Mac) McCrary of Portland, OR, Ruth (John) Sigmond Cowley, of Smith Mountain Lake, VA, Connie (Pat) Dent of Madison, Wv, Becky (Bob) Heater of Madison, Wv and Doris Workman of Columbus, SC, twenty-one great-grandchildren and host of loving neices, nephews, friends and family that will miss her dearly.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Handley Funeral Home at 2PM.
Friends and and family may gather two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
