Johnny Wayne Bowman, 73, of Julian passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home. He was born February 20, 1943 to the late Everett and Hessie Bowman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Virgil Bowman; and two sisters, Glenna Hager and Debra Bowman.
He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA.
He is survived by two sons, Charles and Phylliss Bowman of Racine and Jeff Bowman of Camp Creek; two daughters, Teresa Bowman and Steven Mullins of Madison and Lisa Bowman and Brandon Raikes of Camp Creek; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jimmy, Fred, Everett and Charles Bowman; and two sisters, Jean Brown and Mary Adkins.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
