JoAnn Petty

JoAnn Petty of Toledo, OH, formerly of Danville, WV went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 19th, 2014. She was the wife of the late Ercil "Buck" Petty.

JoAnn was born January 7, 1939 in Comfort, WV to the late Nathaniel Zachariah Perdue and Delta Mae Hale Perdue. Sisters Carol Kay Perdue, Joy Sue Hager and Shirley Hager of Comfort, WV, preceded her in death.

JoAnn is survived by her children Deborah Petty Randant (Rusty Randant) of Alkol, WV and Douglas Petty (Phillip de Wilton) of Toledo, OH; as well as her grandchildren, Ian Randant (Kassie Randant) of Comfort, WV., and Holly Randant Woodie (Brandon Woodie) of Drawdy, WV; great-grandchild, Ivy Brooke Woodie; sisters Donna Sheppard (Malcom Sheppard), Comfort, WV and Delores Thompson (Bob Thompson), Neptune Beach, Fla; and brother Thomas Perdue (Tammy), West Virginia. The family is also expecting two additional great-grandchildren in 2015.

JoAnn was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had been a member of Rebekah Lodge for over 39 years, as well as having attended the First Baptist Church of Danville. She was a graduate of Sherman High School, Seth, WV.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014, with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with the Rev. John Barker officiating. Interment and graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens, Low Gap, WV.
