James L. Canterbury, age 51, of Low Gap, WV left this world on Friday, September 26, 2014. He was the son of Sharon and the late Frank Canterbury of Low Gap, WV.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kelly; sister, Theresa; and special uncle, Wordly.
James enjoyed hunting with his son, JD (Arica) Canterbury of Crawley, WV and his daughter, Danyale (Dave) Miller of Justice Addition, WV. He also left behind a son, Nick Carr; and stepchildren, Shayla Lovejoy, Tori Collins and Cody Collins of Low Gap. James had three brothers, Frankie Canterbury of Beckley, WV, Scotty Canterbury of Low Gap, WV and Herbie Canterbury of Low Gap, WV. James took pride in his grandchildren, Tiffani, Caycen, Nash, Dreyvin, Nick II and Ryker. His long-time friends were Gingo, Possum and Sam. He will be sadly missed and not forgotten.
A graveside service will be conducted by Preacher Joe Lane on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Family Garden Cemetery located at Low Gap, WV.
