Jackie A. Linville, 76, of Long Branch Road, Danville, WV passed away on Jan. 26, 2016 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1939 in Lincoln County, WV to Braden and Roma Linville.
Jack grew up in Cameo, WV. He graduated from Scott High School in Boone County where he played football. After high school he went into the Army where he fought in the Vietnam War. Then he worked for Ford Motor Company in Chicago for 20 plus years until his retirement. He loved the outdoors, and was always building and working on projects and keeping busy. He touched many lives. He was always a wonderful man who would do anything to help anyone.
He is survived by his spouse, Carol A. Linville of Chicago, Illinois; his son, Brett Linville of Chicago, Illinois; his brothers, Bill, Terry and Steve Linville; his sisters, Patsy Linville and Carole Stone; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Jim Butcher officiating.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until service time.
