Indra Jean Chambers

Indra Jean Pettry Chambers, age 82, of Danville went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2014 after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her son, Freddie Joe and husband Fred F. Chambers.
She leaves behind two daughters, Rebecca Pavelka and Vickie Chambers both of Danville; and one son, Hugh Frank Chambers and his wife Linda of Charleston, WV. She adored her grandchildren, Jason Chambers and his wife Lora, Amanda Miller and her husband Gary of Country Estates in Danville and Chelsea Bradshaw of Morgantown, WV. Indra also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren, Jannah and Hannah Miller of Danville and Masen Chambers of Charleston. She is also survived by sister, Lorraine Harper; and brothers, Joey and Ray Pettry both of Virginia.
Indra worked at Blacks Foodland in Danville where she retired after many years of service. Indra was a lifelong resident of the Danville area where she was born, worked and worshiped. She leaves behind a multitude of friends and will be sadly missed by all knew her.
Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18th at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. David May officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
