Hubert "Thirel" Holstein
March 24, 1931 — January 29, 2014
Hubert "Thirel" Holstein, 82, of Ashford, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Hubbard House, Charleston, WV after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Dewey and Daisy Holstein and worked as a coal miner and school bus driver. He was a Christian and a family man.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Barbara Ann, sons; Jerry (Terry) of Gandeville, Timmy (Debbie) of Winston Salem,NC, and Terry (Nadine) of Ashford, granddaughter, Katrina(Adam) Ramey of Winston Salem, NC, brother; Richard of Marlington, and sister; Elizabeth Capp of Charleston, 10 step grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many friends in the community, whom he treasured.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed.
Special thank to his Hospice nurses and the Ashford Church of God Holiness.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Ashford Church of God Holiness with the Rev. Randall Kinder and wife Debbie to sing.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
Arrangements are by the Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV.
