Gordon Ray Lane Sr. of Jeffrey, formerly of Monclo passed away March 24, 2015.
He was born on October 17, 1936 at Monclo, WV and was one of 12 children of the late Ezra and Della Lane. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie, Arnold, Earl, Charles, Clarence and Ezra Jr.; sisters, Bernice, Beulah, Ruby and Doris; and granddaughter, Rachel.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois; brothers, Bobby of Sharples, Joe (Betty) of Ottawa; sisters, Betty Powell of Greenview and June Lopez of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his children, Tamra Crisp (BoBo) of Jeffrey, Gordon Ray (Kay) of Six Mile, Gerald Todd (Regina) of Jeffrey, Debra (Steven) of Clothier and Arnold (Calista) of Hewett; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gordon was a member of the UMWA for 34 years. He attended Monclo Freewill Baptist Church.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Monclo Freewill Baptist Church with Joe Lane, Dennie Evans and Jerry Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.
