George W. Dunlap Jr.

George W. Dunlap Jr., of Greenview, WV, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at the age of 91.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Workman Dunlap; and two sons, Jerry and Donald. Also preceding him in death are his parents, George and Myrtie Dunlap; and his siblings, Burley, Arthur, Alma, Clifford, Bettye, and Jean.
George is survived by sons, Michael (Angela) Dunlap of Sumerco, Ricky (Donna) Dunlap of Buckhannon, and Harry A. Dunlap of Greenview. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
George loved gardening and operating heavy equipment. He was a retired UMWA coal miner from Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He loved his family and serving in his church, the Greenview Church of Christ. He worked endlessly throughout his life on the job, in the community, and at home.
The family wishes to recognize the staff at Danville Hillcrest Healthcare Center for their kind and loving care during his stay there.
A memorial service will be held at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, on Monday, June 26, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
